TT 2018 – Online sign-on available

We are pleased to announce that from Wednesday afternoon on 28th February 2018, online signing-on for TT 2018 will be available.

Please visit the online site by following the link on the left ‘Signing-on/Registration’. You will need your warrant number and password.

If you have forgotten your details, please use the link ‘Send me my login details’ on the online site.

We appreciate your prompt response so the Sector Marshals can get an early indication of manning levels.

Apologies for the hiccup last week when the system was accidentally released during testing. Anyone that submitted their application at that time does NOT need to re-apply.

(signing-on for the MGP/CTT will not commence until after the TT has finished)

TT2018: Signing-on & proposed new practice sessions

We plan to open online signing-on in March, so keep checking our web site and social media for more news on that. (Paper forms will be sent out in April)

TT organisers are proposing two additional practice sessions for TT2018, one on Sunday 27 May and one on the afternoon of Friday 1 June, the proposal is now out to consultation. If you would like to comment on these proposals, please send your comments to before 28th February.

We all remember the weather-affected practice sessions of 2017! If these new sessions get the go-ahead, they will only go-ahead in exceptional circumstances:

The proposed Sunday practice will only take place if the very first session, on Saturday 26 May, is called off. The additional Friday session, on the afternoon of 1 June, will only take place if the practice schedule has suffered significant disruption during the week. Whatever the decision on the Friday afternoon practice, the Friday evening session will still go-ahead as usual.

Incident Management Course scheduled for Friday 1 June: We are still taking bookings for this IMC, but please bear in mind that should the new afternoon practice session go-ahead, the IMC on that day will be cancelled.

Eddie Christian

The TT Marshals’ Association are sad to hear of the sudden death of our long time friend, Eddie Christian.

Eddie retired at the end of TT 2017 after 55 years of Marshalling, the last 10 of which were as Chief Sector Marshal for Sector 7.

During those ten years, Eddie also served as a member of the TTMA board of Directors bringing a wealth of experience with him which helped shape Marshalling over the coming years.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and our sincere condolences go to his wife, Rosie and their families.

Robert Crane
Chairman, Isle of Man TT Marshals’ Association Ltd.
