TT 2011
On behalf of the Directors and Office staff of the TTMA I would like to thank all of you that marshalled at TT 2011 for your support.
Throughout the fortnight we had 1523 marshals sign up to do duty, which included 363 newcomes which is a fantastic effort and much appreciated and I must also thank those of you that were willing to move about within their sectors when needed to make up shortages, thus allowing practice/race to start with the minimum or no delay.
Those of you that marshaled on the mountain and have to be on station for longer than those on the lower sections. I thank you all for doing that and for your patience with us in getting a satisfactory way of getting you off the mountain at the end of sessions. This will be looked at by all parties concerened prior to next year's TT, so it will be sorted prior to the event.
A good night was had at the marshals supper, with well deserved long service awards being given out and a chat show which included John McGuinness, Keith Amor, Ian Hutchinson, Simon Andrews and William Dunlop
At the time of writing this we are just 8 weeks away from the first practice for the MGP,phew its all go.
Once again many thanks to you all for your support and look forward to welcoming you back, be it for the MGP or the TT we will always be glad to see you and remember that without you it just wouldnt happen..
