Incident Management Courses for 2010-2011
The new training year for the TTMA started in October with an IMC in Douglas, the following two weekends we went away to Sheffield, to a new venue which seemed popular, and then to Liverpool, we then followed this up with another IMC on the 20th November in Douglas, and that is the last one for 2010. These IMC's have been very well attended and we hope that this trend will continue, although it is sad to note that there are still people who will book onto an IMC, and despite a reminder, fail to show up, without even letting us know. It is not only bad manners to keep everyone else hanging around waiting to start, but does not put the person in a good light with regards to their marshalling commitment. We supply a phone number for people to call if they are unexpectedly unable to attend, or prior to the day itself, a message can be left at the TTMA office.
We have a number of IMC's in the new year at venues in the UK, all with spaces available, so please check the dates and locations of those if you would like to attend a day's training. Although it is a serious subject, we make the day as fun and light hearted as possible, and most people go away having had a thoroughly enjoyable day whilst having learnt or updated vital lifesaving skills. It does make sense to participate if you are considering marshalling, or already do so but have not yet completed any training. For those who need to renew an IMC qualification after 3 years, why not do so out of the busy racing season and start in 2011 ready and prepared!
